Session Description

It has been five years since the launch of the first 5G network. While 5G has witnessed the fastest adoption in its early stages, there is a long way to go. More than half the countries have not launched 5G yet, less than 50 operators have deployed 5G-SA in their networks and 5G Advanced standard is being finalised this year.

 

Every mobile generation has a long path to maturity, with significant up-front investments to begin with and incremental investments to extend coverage, expand capacity and add new features. More of a B2B proposition than a step-change for consumers, 5G Standalone’s value is unlocked only as fast as businesses across the economy can adapt. The most transformative 5G use cases are still to come.
