Session Description
It has been five years since the launch of the first 5G network. While 5G has witnessed the fastest adoption in its early stages, there is a long way to go. More than half the countries have not launched 5G yet, less than 50 operators have deployed 5G-SA in their networks and 5G Advanced standard is being finalised this year.
Every mobile generation has a long path to maturity, with significant up-front investments to begin with and incremental investments to extend coverage, expand capacity and add new features. More of a B2B proposition than a step-change for consumers, 5G Standalone’s value is unlocked only as fast as businesses across the economy can adapt. The most transformative 5G use cases are still to come.
This invite-only, GSMA Roundtable will convene experts across the mobile ecosystem to exchange views on:
- What lessons do we draw from five years of 5G?
- How will 5G evolve on the path to 6G?
- Which demand, supply and policy conditions are shaping the future of mobile?
- How can we grow the 5G-driven ecosystem including creating value for all entities?
