Andy was appointed as Group Chief Corporate Officer of Axiata Group Berhad with effect June 2023. Prior to this appointment, Andy was CEO/MD of Ncell since 1 November 2019. He joined Axiata Group in 2008 as SVP & Head of Group Marketing & Operations until 2014 and re-joined as Interim Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for Ncell as part of transition management till 1Q2017 before his re-appointment as CCO for Ncell in January 2018. And in May 2019 Andy also assumed the role of Acting CEO for Ncell, in addition to his CCO duties.
Andy has more than 30 years’ management and operations experience in diverse industries, namely, telecommunications, IT/technology and electronics. Andy has held CEO and senior management positions in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, where he led teams to build and grow businesses, and providing strategic direction in the areas of sales & marketing, technical & operations and finance.
Andy holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic & Computer Systems) and MBA, both from Monash University, Australia.
