Bruno Moraes is the Managing Director at Wayra UK, Telefónica's Corporate Venture Capital arm, with a rich professional background spanning management consulting, entrepreneurship, and corporate venture capital.
With investments in 8-10 companies annually and management of a portfolio exceeding 130 companies, Bruno plays a crucial role in nurturing growth and fostering business opportunities between these companies and Telefónica, while promoting internal technology adoption and innovation.
Before Wayra, Bruno was an entrepreneur in the energy tech and telecom sectors, including co-founding and serving as COO of Beegol and CEO of Stogas. His earlier career includes 9 years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in Brazil and Germany.
His education includes executive education from Harvard Business School and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering with honours from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil.
