Speaker Bio
Maria founded Tiendeo in 2011 together with her sister Eva and Jonathan Lemberger. Tiendeo displays local information based on geolocation concerning promotions, catalogs, shops, opening times and contacts of the leading retailers and brands in each shopping category. Tiendeos marketplaces are used by 45 million users worldwide to plan their purchases. Tiendeo was acquired by Shopfully Group in 2022, the tech company that is reinventing local shopping worldwide.
After the acquisition Maria is on a sabbatical period and recently starting to invest in startups as a Business Angel.
Before founding Tiendeo, María worked for seven years at General Electric and Siemens, leading information management projects in the US, India, Belgium, France, and Spain.
María has a double degree in engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the Ecole Centrale Paris.
